NATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Only a Karateka may obtain this qualification.
Attire: Whistle, Grey pants, White collar shirt, SZA tie, SZA blue blazer (or blue soft shell jacket for SZA competitions), Black soft sole shoes & socks.
Chief Referee: Kata & Kumite
- Can confidently do all aspects of Competition formats and act as Tournament Director.
Has an advanced knowledge level of all kumite rules and is able to apply them correctly.
Kata:
- Judge A: Kata
Can confidently judge all levels, take centre as a kata judge and is able to apply all kata criteria when judging. - Judge B: Kata
Can confidently judge all levels and is able to apply all kata criteria when judging. - Judge C: Kata
Can confidently judge up to Red belt and is able to apply most of the kata criteria when judging.
Kumite:
- Senior Referee: Kumite
Can confidently act as a centre referee for all Kumite formats and as a Tatami Head. Has an advanced knowledge level of all kumite rules and is able to apply them correctly. - Referee A: Kumite
Can confidently act as a centre referee for Nihon & Sanbon matches and as a corner referee in Ippon matches. Has an intermediate knowledge level of Ippon, Sanbon & Nihon kumite rules and is able to apply them correctly. - Referee B: Kumite
Can confidently act as a mirror referee and a corner referee in Ippon matches. Has basic knowledge of Ippon, Sanbon & Nihon kumite rules and how it should be applied. - Kansa: Kumite
Can confidently assist in a kumite match and has a fair knowledge of Sanbon & Nihon kumite rules.
EXAMINER LEVELS
- Level A: Minimum Yondan and can grade at National level from Sandan and up.
- Level B: Minimum Sandan and can grade at National level up to Nidan.
- Level C: Minimum Nidan and can grade at Regional level up to Junior Black 3.
- Level D: Minimum Shodan and can grade at Regional level up to Red 3.
- Level E : Minimum Shodan and can grade at Dojo level only.
